Gary Neville has been quite vocal about Liverpool in recent weeks, specifically his war of words with Reds goalkeeper Loris Karius.
And the former Manchester United and England defender, now a respected pundit, has spoken about his old club’s arch-rivals once again.
Neville believes Liverpool have an excellent chance of winning the Premier League this season, as long as they sort out their defensive frailties.
He said on Sky Sports: “This season, they may never have a better chance (of winning the league). Liverpool are a damn good side under Jurgen Klopp, fantastic to watch.
“They’re a good side who can go and beat anybody but they have this one huge failing and it cost them a league title three years ago… their record defensively is poor.
“Those players have to seize this moment now. If they can pull together a defence like Leicester did last season they’ve got an opportunity to win the league.”
