The Reds’ boss wasn’t happy with the defending
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has blamed Alberto Moreno for Villareal’s late winner in the Europa League semi-final first leg last night.
The left-back was out of position as the Yellow Submarine’s striker Adrian scored the only goal of the game on the counter-attack.
And Klopp couldn’t believe his side threw away the game in Spain after being dominant for large spells of the fixture.
“If we had had enough players in around the box for the goal it was no problem, but they played this one chipped ball over Kolo,” said Klopp.
“I don’t know where Alberto was in this moment, but that was the only big mistake we made in this game and they scored with it.”
