Pep Guardiola’s current side could be set to suffer due to Pep Guardiola’s former side.
A chain will be set into motion if Barcelona signs Lautaro Martinez. The Catalans are desperate for a new number nine and Martinez fits the bill perfectly. Although Inter is less than keen on the move, they will have to accept should a big enough sum come through as the player has expressed his desire to play for the Catalans.
This would mean that Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan would be left a crucial centre forward short in his 3-5-2 system but have a huge budget to fill that gap. Inter are likely to go for the best with their current target being Jesus from Manchester City.
The Brazil international was signed from South America by the Cityzens and despite doing well has found himself behind Sergio Aguero in the pecking order. City has resigned to losing Leroy Sane to Bayern Munich due to lack of playing time and have now set a firm asking price for Jesus in order to prevent the Sane fiasco from repeating itself.
The Brazilian forward has scored 63 goals in 140 games (mostly as subs) for City and the Etihad outfit have slapped a £63 million price tag on Jesus.
Do you think Inter will go for him?
