Manchester United midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan has a had a row with manager Jose Mourinho and is on his way out of Old Trafford according to reports.
Mkhitaryan has been sometimes fantastic and other-times invisible. And it seems that Mourinho has noticed the Armenian’s inconsistency and has left him out of the team in recent weeks.
The Sun claim that the 28-year-old had a bust-up with the United manager during one of their video analysis sessions following a match against Brighton last month.
And the Armenian star has not featured for United since the incident which apparently happened in front of the entire squad.
Mourinho is known for holding grudges against players who wrong him and has frozen out other players too, such as Luke Shaw, who has been fighting to try get back into Mourinho’s good books. Additionally, Mourinho ostracised German midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger and made him train with the under 23’s.
Mkhitaryan started the this season very well to be fair, with five assists and one goal but has faded since. But, the row would explain why he has been completely left out of the team in recent weeks as most would expect for him to at least come off the bench in games.
So don’t be too surprised if Mkhitaryan does leave Old Trafford in January or next summer.
