Rashford has been linked with a summer move

There has been recent speculations that Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford could leave the club at the end of the season in search for more regular first team football.

Rashford has not always been a regular starter since Jose Mourinho took over from Louis van Gaal and has faced increased competition following the January arrival of Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal.

But Manchester United have no plans to sell Marcus Rashford at the end of the season, according to ESPN. They are determined to keep hold of the youngster and will reject any advances for him this summer. Sources have also said the club had not received any formal inquiry about the availability of the England international.

The 20 year old came through the United’s academy and made his debut for them in 2016 under Van Gaal. Since then he has made a quite a name of himself and has given dozens of impressive performance for the English giants.

Infact, he has made more appearances than any other player during Mourinho’s reign, featuring in 97 of his 112 games in charge. He told Inside United that he was delighted to top the list of appearance-makers under Mourinho:

“I wasn’t aware of it before I saw it and it’s something to be proud of,” he said. “But we always want more and we always want to show progression individually and as a team, so the numbers don’t really matter as much as the results do to me.”

He is contracted with United until 2020 and the club also have an option to extend the deal by an additional 1 year.

Rashford has scored 12 goals from 44 appearances in all competitions this season for United.
