A double from Zlatan Ibrahimovic guided Manchester United to a third league win inside a week, 2-0 against West Bromwich Albion.

And his contribution was praised by teammate Jesse Lingard, who set up the maverick Swede for his first goal against the Baggies.

England international Lingard told MUTV: “He’s a natural goalscorer. You could see that by how well he took his goals.

“He is great to play alongside because he makes such great runs and that makes him easy to link up with.”

“The manager just told me to make sure I noticed the gaps so I could run in behind and I looked up and saw Zlatan in the box and he finished with a great header.”

United, with this latest win, made it seven league games unbeaten, finally finding some much-needed consistency under Mourinho.

Lingard added that United could enjoy their Christmas break after a busy week, next taking to the pitch on Boxing Day against Sunderland.

“I think we are getting into a rhythm now. We have players coming back, so we have a full squad to pick from and everybody knows their role and is going about their job so well at the moment.

“It’s come at the right time, we can relax with our families. We can then come in refreshed on Tuesday ready and raring to go for Boxing Day.”
