Ryan Giggs’ successor is finally announced

Manchester United have officially confirmed the back-room staff who will join new manager Jose Mourinho ahead of the 2016/17 Premier League season.

The 53-year old’s assistant manager will be his long-term friend Rui Faria as expected, whereas David de Gea will work closely with new goalkeeper coach Silvino Louro and assistant goalkeeper coach Emilio Alvarez.

Carlos Lalin and Ricardo Formosinho also link up with United as fitness coach and first team scout respectively.

And the final piece of the puzzle sees Giovanni Cerra sign up as the new tactical analyst for the Red Devils.
