The England international has been out for 10 months

Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw has sent a message to the fans on Twitter, reassuring them that he is on the road to recovery from his horrific leg break.

The 20-year old suffered a double leg break in the 2-1 Champions League defeat at PSV Eindhoven last September, but is now back in full training ready for United’s pre-season tour.

The former Southampton full-back did return to light training in April, but failed to reach his goal of being fit for the Red Devils’ FA Cup triumph at Wembley.

However, Shaw tweeted a picture of him taking part in a session at United’s AON training complex, before tweeting again to send this message to the fans…

“Good first training session back with the boys today! Feels so good to be back! Bedtime now. Night peeps.”

Next week

Shaw could even be fit enough to play in Jose Mourinho’s first Manchester United game as manager, when the Old Trafford club travel to the DW Stadium next Saturday to take on Championship outfit Wigan Athletic.
