Dimitri Payet may not have yet hit the heights of last season, but this has not deterred Manchester United, who are lining up a shock move in the January transfer window.
According to Express Sport, Paris St Germain, French league champions, are also keen on Payet, who took the Premier League by storm last term.
However, French outlet Le10 Sport claims Jose Mourinho has targeted Payet as a priority signing when the window opens in the New Year.
Mourinho is understood to have opened talks regarding a swoop for the West Ham attacker.
In February, Payet signed a £125,000-a-week deal to keep him at West Ham until 2021. It is reported that West Ham would want £35m for Payet.
Mourinho is aiming to bolster his team in terms of width and speed, and is also looking at Atletico Madrid’s Belgium winger Yannick Carrasco.
