Cristiano Ronaldo asks agent for Manchester United return

Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo could be heading back to Manchester United this summer, claim reports in Spain.

Don Balon claim that the man known as CR7 has reportedly asked his agent, Jorge Mendes, to enquire about a move back to Old Trafford.

Ronaldo, 31, could be playing under Jose Mourinho next season, if the Special One replaces Louis van Gaal as United manager.

Ronaldo has also reportedly met with Paris St Germain owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi on multiple occasions.

But Don Balon reckon that a move to France is unlikely, as the player does not believe the standard of Ligue 1 is high enough for his talents.

Mendes was reportedly keen to trigger a move to PSG, for financial reasons, but Ronaldo seems to still be motivated to compete at the highest level.

And he is thought to be more keen on a return on England, and specifically the Red Devils.

Ronaldo played for United between 2003 and 2009, scoring 84 goals in 196 Premier League games before leaving for the Bernabeu.

He has over 100 caps for Portugal, and has won a host of trophies and set many records in his illustrious career.

And there is a chance that he will grace the Premier League once again.
