Mourinho has ‘approved’ the offer

According to reports, Manchester United are set to offer £60 million in order to re-sign Juventus star Paul Pogba.

Sir Alex Ferguson let the France international leave Old Trafford on a free transfer back in 2012; and he has played for the Old Lady ever since.

However, the new United boss, Jose Mourinho, has given the go-ahead for club officials to make a bid for the Juve playmaker in an attempt to bring him back to the Red Devils.

Allegedly, the offer will consist of £48 million up front plus £12 million in add-ons based on appearances and personal success for the team such as goals and assists.

Those figures would total up to £60 million, smashing the British transfer record that United set in 2014 when they signed Angel Di Maria from Real Madrid for £59.7 million.

If the Special One is to sign Pogba, 23, then he must fight off competition from his old club Chelsea. Their new manager, Antonio Conte, is a long-term admirer of the attacking midfielder.
