United prepared to offer cash-plus-player for midfielder

The attacking midfielder is once again surrounded by transfer speculation

Manchester United are reportedly set to offer cash-plus-Matteo Darmian to Juventus for their maverick playmaker Paul Pogba.

Rumours suggested that the Red Devils recently had a £60 million bid for the 23-year old turned down by the Old Lady, but the new United boss Jose Mourinho isn’t giving up on a deal just yet.

The Serie A champions have allegedly enquired about the availability of Darmian, and Mourinho is more than happy to use the right-back as bait in a future offer for Pogba.

Sir Alex Ferguson let Pogba leave Old Trafford on a free transfer back in 2012, and his form in Italy and has made him a target for Premier League club Chelsea for a number of years.

Pogba is part of France’s 23-man squad for Euro 2016 and he is likely feature tonight as the hosts open the tournament against Romania at the Stade de France.
