Paul Pogba has rubbished all speculations linking him with Barcelona. The French midfielder’s future had been hovering in the air but he has confirmed he is staying at Manchester United.
Following a successful World Cup campaign, the French midfielder’s has seen his stock going higher. He has been the focal point of Jose Mourinho’s strategy but the midfielder is yet to make his presence felt.
His estranged relationship with Mourinho hogged all the limelight although the player insisted all is well between the two of them. Barcelona were heavily interested in the player as his representative Mino Raiola tried hard to broker a deal between two clubs but United CEO Ed Woodward was adamant in doing no business with the Catalan club this summer.
Refuting all the rumours the French midfielder has assured he will remain a Manchester United player. “To speak about a transfer… I am under contract.”
“There have always been little things with the coach, our relationship is still the same, manager-player. We have common objectives, which are to win.
“As long as you don’t see me in a Barcelona shirt, I am a Manchester United player. There will always be rumours.”
