Marseille have warned Premier League trio Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United that they will have to cough up at least £35m if they want Belgian striker Michy Batshuayi.

Batshuayi, 22, has been in fine form for the French club so far this season, with nine goals in sixteen games.

This goalscoring form has made him a target for the world’s biggest clubs.

However, Marseille president Vincent Labrune has warned that securing the striker’s services will not come cheap. He also claimed that the club had already turned down offers in the summer.

He told French newspaper La Derniere Heure:  “There is not a single top 15 world club that is not interested in Batshuayi. He is one of the most wanted players on the market.

“There were a lot of offers for him this summer, but he did not want to leave. He is proving himself on the pitch. And if clubs want him then they are going to have to pay up – around £35m.”

Labrune is referring to the official world club rankings that include Premier League trio Manchester United (11), Arsenal (9) and Manchester City (5) in the top 15.

Batshuayi signed for Marseille last year from Belgian side Standard Liege.
