Ralph Hasenhuttl wants Southampton supporters to unite for their next match against Arsenal.

The new Saints manager is hoping that the fans will come in to support their club as they plan to treat them with free beers.

New Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl is expecting the fans to stand behind Southampton as he starts his regime at the St Mary’s Stadium. The former RB Leipzig manager took over at the South Coast club after their former manager Mark Hughes was sacked and would look to bring them back to winning ways.

The Saints are currently stranded in the 19th position in the Premier League table and are in absolute dire straits. However, Hasenhuttl is confident that they can bounce back and their fans will be “in their boat to row with them” as he looks to treat them with free beer tokens.

The Austrian gaffer said, “Everyone who knows me knows that I’m a guy who always brings everyone in our boat to row with us,” Hasenhuttl added, “It’s very important to have a good relationship. I talked a lot of times about that you can feel every day that Southampton FC is a very, very important part of everybody’s life here in this area.”

He also said, “Everyone wants to keep this club in this division so for us it’s a big chance to help them get lucky again and all we want to do is to make it possible that we have fantastic moments again and emotional moments. You never know, maybe on Sunday comes the first since a long time in St Mary’s Stadium. They can celebrate when ever they want (with the free drinks), and if they can celebrate a win on Sunday they should do it and I’m the first to congratulate them.”
