Journalist Raphael Honigstein has hinted Christian Pulisic might be on his way to Chelsea.
The USA international has been the transfer hotshot and has been the in-demand player in the transfer market. The 20 year old has been linked with the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United and is likely to leave Borussia Dortmund very soon.
Maurizio Sarri would love to revitalise the wider section with some young blood in the squad. The youngster’s current deal is poised to expire in 2020 and talks over a new contract hasn’t been materialized so far,
If the current situation remains Dortmund would be forced to cash in and Chelsea are ready to splash the cash for the player.
Honigstein said, “My understanding is that Chelsea are the only team that have made a firm offer at the moment.
“Dortmund are looking to see if there are other offers coming in as you would, but it is kind of agreed that the player will move in the summer definitely because he still has a year to run on his contract.
“Unless someone matches Chelsea’s offer or exceeds it, he’ll go there.
“There was some interest from Manchester United, I understand, but they’ve gone a little bit quiet now because they’ve got other stuff to deal with. They don’t know if whoever the next guy is will want to pay that amount of money on Christian Pulisic.”
