Mancini is eyeing a swoop for players from ex-club Manchester City and Chelsea.

The Italian spoke about his admiration for current City striker Stefan Jovetic, and a move for Chelsea man Mohamed Salah could still be on the cards.

Mancini has said that attacking players are his clubs main priority with Wolfsburg’s Ivan Perisic remaining at the top of the target list.

Mancini said: “We need at least one striker”

“At the moment we only have two. I met President [Erick Thohir] yesterday, we had dinner, but he was in a hurry, we’ll meet calmly in the coming days.”

“Do we want Perisic? Right now he’s a Wolfsburg player, and it’s hard to say what will happen. He’s a quality player who can play in different roles.”

“As for Jovetic, I talked about him during the summer of my last season at Manchester City, then they bought him after I left.”

“He can play any role across the attack, main striker, second striker, and winger in a front three. Salah can also play multiple roles, as he did in Florence.”

“That said, one of them is at City, one of them is halfway between Chelsea and Fiorentina. I don’t want to offend anyone.”
