The Argentine could leave soon, and potential replacements are making their interest in the job known early.

As a result, Jurgen Klinsmann is reportedly keen on rejoining Tottenham, this time as manager.

Tottenham seem to be at a bit of a crossroads just now, and a wrong move could set them back a few years. It also looks like a lot of the great work done by Mauricio Pochettino is being overlooked after some poor results.

Pochettino has found himself under pressure after a difficult start to the season, which hit new depths on Tuesday when they lost to Sky Bet League Two club Colchester in the Carabao Cup. As a result, according to the Daily Mail, their former striker Jurgen Klinsmann is already interested in becoming Spurs boss should Mauricio Pochettino leave the club.

The German is a Spurs legend and he has previously expressed his amazement at Pochettino’s ability to find talent and then take it to the next level – he used the likes of Harry Kane and Dele Alli as examples. Not only that, when Pochettino first took charge of Spurs in 2014, Klinsmann urged the club to give him time so he can put his ‘stamp’ on the club, which they clearly have done even though it seems like they are at a crossroads now.

That shouldn’t come as a huge surprise to anyone,  as the German is currently looking for work and has a strong affiliation with the club so he might feel the job is perfect for him. His past record might not be so exciting for the fans however.

If current boss Pochettino does go then the Premier League side will need to get his replacement spot on. A bad appointment could ruin their move to the new stadium and if they fall out of the Champions League then big names like Harry Kane could push for a move.
