Tottenham Hotspur make it back-to-back victories in the Premier League as they bagged a crucial win against West Ham United

Son Heung-Min later doubled the advantage in the 24th minute. Spurs appeared to be in cruise control until Matt Doherty’s shaky defending led in a corner for the Hammers in the 35th minute.

Said Benrahma equalised from this corner, finding himself entirely unmarked at the back post and slotting the ball past Hugo Lloris. The Korean international ended the contest in the 88th minute after a superb Harry Kane header placed him one on one with Lukasz Fabianski.

This victory moves Spurs closer to Arsenal, who sit fourth in the Premier League table with a three-point advantage and a game in hand over Tottenham. This victory would undoubtedly provide a significant lift to the players as the season comes to a close.

The Lilwyhites are currently out of all other competitions. If they are to salvage anything from this campaign, a top-four finish may be the most feasible goal. Only the future will tell whether or not the club fulfils its aim, but the signals are good for the time being.

Spurs sit fifth in the standings after 29 games, only three points behind Arsenal. The Gunners, on the other hand, have one game in hand and, despite their loss to Liverpool, seem to be in better shape.
