Manchester City returned to football in style.

They steamrolled an Arsenal side as they cruised to a 3-0 win. Now their right back Walker has urged the club to keep up this level.

“It’s the unknown for everyone and we had to feel our way into the game,” the right back reflected.

“Getting a goal just before half time from Raheem was key and obviously them then having a man sent off was always going to help.

“The manager said we had done very well at half time. We had four one-on-ones in the first half but fair play to their goalkeeper.”

“In terms of training for me I always prefer playing matches,” Walker added. “We have a shorter break between matches and more games is good.

“I think it’s only right we finish the season and we have the Champions League also to look forward to.

“We have a 2-1 lead over Real Madrid to take into the second leg of the last 16 and then the incentive of a mini tournament so its going to be exciting times.”

The Premier League is all but over for Manchester City but all other trophies remain very much achievable. The League cup has been won and they do look favorites in the Champions League and the FA Cup.
