Jonny joins Wolves on a permanent deal

Wolves have signed Jonny Otto on a permanent deal after a successful loan spell this season.

The Spaniard has agreed a deal with the Molineux club, that would keep him till 2023. He has already spent half a season with them, on loan from La Liga side Atletico Madrid.

The 24-year-old has made a massive impact since his arrival, appearing 22 times for the Old Gold, predominantly on the left wing-back position and doing very well.

His performances for the club this season earned him a call from Spanish national team, where he also featured in a UEFA Nations League game against England.

Wolves become Jonny’s third permanent, after he grew up through the ranks at Celta Vigo, before making 200 appearances for them and then joining Atletico last summer, where straight-away the Premier League club were on hand to take him.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s men were fantastic in their 3-0 win over West Ham on Tuesday night, and there were chants of “sign him up” around the Molineux.

After signing the permanent deal, Jonny was speaking to official Wolves website. He said: “I’m very happy to sign for Wolves. The last few days we spoke about it and now it’s official, I’ll be Wolves for the next four years.

“I’m really happy to continue to be involved with the team. I am very happy here, the truth is that it was very easy to decide. They are treating me very well, there are great staff, great team mates and great supporters. It is a big club and really, I am very happy to be here.”
