3 players Klopp is a big fan of at Anfield

With Jurgen Klopp set to be unveiled as the new Liverpool manager today, it is thought that he will keep faith the main bulk of the current Reds’ squad.

It’s thought that the German’s first transfer window in January will be a quiet one as he is satisfied with the players already at his disposal.

However, there are 3 players in particular that have caught his eye at Anfield. The first of those is young central midfielder Emre Can. Can, 21, has been one of the few signings classed as a hit from the Rodgers era at the club, and it’s thought that Klopp is a big fan of his fellow German.

Rodgers preferred to put Can in defence but his predominant position is a deeper midfield role, and Klopp reportedly has plans to reinstate him into that position.

Another man Klopp is impressed with is the Brazilian, Roberto Firmino. Firmino was signed in the summer from Hoffenheim, and failed to complete a full 90 minutes before Rodgers left the club, but Klopp is reportedly a big fan and tried to sign him in 2014 for Dortmund, but the playmaker has a lot to prove after failing to shine at Anfield so far in a Liverpool shirt.

The final player is another one of Liverpool’s signings in the summer, striker Christian Benteke. Signed from Aston Villa, Benteke has showed signs of being able to make it work at Liverpool, and he will be getting even more game time under Klopp once he’s over a slight hamstring injury. He was also on Klopp’s wishlist while at Dortmund, with the manager wanting to bring him to Germany after he lost big striker Robert Lewandowski to Bayern Munich.
