OFFICIAL French Ligue 1 cancelled

Following the example of Belgium and the Netherlands, which marked the end of the season despite possible changes of mind, today the curtain over the 2019/20 season lowered the French Ligue 1.

Football in the country of the world champion will not be played this summer, it was decided at today’s session of the French government.

Macron’s government has banned sports activities until August, after which the French Football Federation announced that the league is definitely cancelled. The new 2020/21 season should start in August and play normally, but probably in much of the fall half-season without an audience.

Although the European Football Association (UEFA) has insisted that the championships be completed by the end of July, due to the end of the Champions League and Europa League, France cannot meet this requirement at the European Football Center.

The leader of the table until the break is PSG, but so far there are no announcements whether they will win the title or the season will be annulled. It is not known whether there will be a relegation from Ligue 1 and which teams will play in the European competitions.
