The duo were forced off with an injury in a 4-0 win against Toulouse.

Paris St-Germain forwards Edinson Cavani and Kylian Mbappe will be out for four and three weeks respectively.

Kylian Mbappe has been ruled out for at least four weeks and his strike partner Edison Cavani for three after they picked up injuries in Sunday’s 4-0 Ligue 1 victory over Toulouse, the French champions confirmed.

Thomas Tuchel’s men, who lost at Rennes last time out, have seen the start of their season dominated by the Neymar transfer saga.

The Brazilian was once again left out of the matchday squad at the Parc des Princes amid rumors of a move to Real Madrid or return to Barcelona, and Tuchel saw his strikeforce totally dismantled as Cavani and Mbappe both hobbled off – as did centre-back Abdou Diallo.

The 20-year-old limped off in the 66th minute while Cavani did not even last the first 15 minutes. The 32-year-old Uruguayan came off clutching his hip and was replaced by Eric Choupo-Moting. The Cameroon skipper made the most of his opportunity.

He broke the deadlock in the 50th minute and a Martin Goncalves own-goal five minutes later doubled PSG‘s advantage.

Mbappe’s injury means he is set to miss PSG’s opening Champions League group game in mid-September. He is also set to sit out three league matches as well as France’s Euro 2020 qualifiers at home to Albania and Andorra early next month. Cavani could though return in time for the Champions League match.
