The Brazilian star is set to continue his France adventure for few more years.

The love affair between Marquinhos and Paris Saint Germain lasts since 2013.

Paris Saint-Germain will offer Marquinhos a contract extension, according to one of the most reputed football sources in France. He has been one of the best and most consistent players for the French champions over the past few years. And the Brazil international is reportedly close to sign a new deal with the Ligue 1 giants sooner than later.

According to a report from Le10Sport, Les Parisiens are ready to lock down contracts of the club’s top players, and Marquinhos certainly falls into that category. Either as a centre-back or as a defensive midfielder, the former Corinthians and Roma star has been an integral part of PSG’s success – at least on the domestic front.

The aforementioned report indicated the Frenchmen are ready to offer Marquinhos a contract extension. However, it remains to be seen whether the Brazilian will accept the deal, or if he will attempt to increase his wages by asking for new terms on the contract.

It is also mentioned PSG’s offer would include better wages and a more important role within the squad. It sounds as if the Ligue 1 giants are ready to make the Brazilian an integral part of the team’s future plans.

The 25-year-old defensive specialist has made 256 appearances for PSG since joining the team back in 2013, scoring 20 goals and delivering seven assists. He has already won 43 caps with the Brazil national team throughout his career as well, and that figure is likely to grow in the coming years.
