We could be witnesses of a potential swap between the two giants.

Which, instead of taking place in the summer, could be moved up to January.

Paris Saint-Germain are in talks with Italian champions Juventus over the possibility of sending Leandro Paredes to Turin in a potential swap deal involving Emre Can in the upcoming January transfer window. The former Liverpool star has found game time hard to come by under Maurizio Sarri and has played just 272 minutes of Serie A football so far this season, as well as being omitted from Juve’s 25-man Champions League squad.

In addition, the Old Lady have had problems in middle of the park all season, with injuries to Sami Khedira, Aaron Ramsey and Blaise Matuidi leaving Maurizio Sarri short on numbers. Meanwhile, the Parisian club are believed to be keen to add some defensive solidity to their midfield, despite signing 30-year-old Idrissa Gana Gueye from Everton for a fee of €35m in summer.

Now, several Italian news outlets such as Tuttosport, Gazzetta dello Sport and Corriere dello Sport claims Juve sporting director Fabio Paratici has already approached PSG’s Leonardo about an exchange deal involving Paredes and the German. Emre Can is also being courted by Fiorentina and Borussia Dortmund, but the newspaper asserts he would rather join the French champions so he can play with Neymar.
