Bayern star left Dortmund this summer

Mats Hummels dealt the perfect response to a troll on Twitter when he was accused of being a ‘snake’ on the social media website.

The tweet was sent in relation to Hummels leaving Borussia Dortmund for Bayern Munich this summer for around €35million.

It was a move that did not go down well with Borussia Dortmund fans, who have been angered by the ‘betrayal’ by the centre-back.

So much so, that fans have been taking to Twitter ever since the move to voice their opinions, and today Hummels finally decided to put one particular fan in his place.

In response to being asked ‘how big of a snake’ he was on ‘a scale of 1-10’, Hummels responded marvellously:

Hummels isn’t the first player to swap Dortmund for Munich in recent years, with Robert Lewandowski and Mario Gotze swapping the Signal Iguna Park for the Allianz Arena. The Germany international actually started his career at Bayern Munich, having graduated from the youth system to the first team in 2007.

However, with regular football hard to come by, the defender went on loan to Dortmund in 2008.
