Pavard denies Bayern link

French defender Benjamin Pavard has denied rumours linking with a done deal with Bayern Munich.

He said,  “I have not signed anything with Bayern. The interest of such a club makes me happy, but today I am focused on Stuttgart. I do not think about next summer.”

The youngster impressed for France in the summer under Deschamps when he helped his side to win the 2018 edition of the FIFA World Cup. He was excellent in defence and was also mentioned specially for his wonder volley against Argentina.

The defender is still young and has developed extremely well in Stuttgart. He is only 22 years old and has been linked with Bayern Munich and other top English clubs like Liverpool. Pavard is a regular at Stuttgart, a position he definitely will not be guaranteed in Bayern or Liverpool. Both clubs have established full backs and Pavard might have to warm the bench in the club for quite some time.

While he would get to represent a top club and win more trophies in Europe with Bayern, the player’s development will be affected if he does not get to play day in day out.
