After an extremely impressive run with German giants Bayern Munich, Hansi Flick is being tipped to take over the hot seat for the national team.
The current Bayern Munich manager has won every trophy in Germany and Europe already in just one season with the club. He formerly worked with German head coach Joachim Low, whose job is under threat.
Germany have produced a series of bad results which was capped by their 6-0 thrashing to Spain last week. With Low’s job on the line now, Flick has been tipped by Oliver Bierhoff to take over the reins at national camp.
“Would I trust him as Germany coach? Absolutely. Hansi(Flick) knows the DFB [German football association] inside out,” Bierhoff told Sport1.
“He has incredible quality and has always said how much he values the association.
“I’m really happy and proud to see what he has managed with Bayern recently. I first brought him into the national team set-up.
“Over the years, he has been a really important factor in the success of this team. What he has achieved in a short time in Munich is really impressive.
“It isn’t currently a topic for us [taking over for Germany] though, neither for us nor for him. This isn’t an issue.”
