United ready to offer £55m for playmaker
Manchester United have entered the race for Wolfsburg midfielder Kevin De Bruyne.
De Bruyne, who joined Wolfsburg in January 2014, has been constantly linked with United’s rivals Manchester City, who are reportedly on the verge of signing the playmaker for around £50million.
But according to Sport1, City will face competition for his signature from their local rivals.
The German broadcaster claims United chief Louis van Gaal is a big admirer of the former Chelsea star and is willing to splash out £55m to sign him.
Wolsfburg are desperate to keep De Bruyne, who racked up 28 assists last season, at the Volkswagen Arena.
