Juventus midfielder Blaise Matuidi has said that the club will help Cristiano Ronaldo to open his goal account at the club. Juventus registered their third successive win of the Serie A by beating Parma 2-1. However, Ronaldo could not find the net. The Portuguese is yet to score a goal outside Real Madrid and with 23 shots without a goal, he now has the worst tally for any player in Europe’s top five leagues.

Matuidi said, “He is a great player and will score eventually, as he’s very important for this team. He was unlucky this evening, but we will help him and he’s got plenty of time. He was a little annoyed at not being able to score, but it’ll come.”

Douglas Costa who made his 50th appearance for Juventus, said, “Cristiano is playing in a new league and understandably he wants to score but he also knows it’s the three points that matter most”

In the match against Parma, Juventus opened the scoring after just two minutes thanks to Mario Mandzukic. However, Gervinho got the equaliser for Parma in the 33rd minute. Then, Matuidi scored through a brilliant left-footed to restore the lead for Juventus. No further goals were scored and Juventus won 2-1. The Bianconeri next play Sassuolo at Turin on 16th September.
