The Brazilian midfielder is likely to sit out a game or two.

Lucas Paqueta could miss AC Milan’s next game with Torino after reportedly suffering a thigh injury.

Paqueta came on as a substitute during AC Milan’s 2-0 defeat to Inter Milan in the Derby della Madonnina, but La Gazzetta dello Sport warned the midfielder could be about to add to the Rossoneri’s problems. That is because he would have reported an issue with the flexor muscle in his left thigh.

The newspaper concluded that while tests will determine the extent of the 22-year-old’s injury, he will miss the trip to Torino on Thursday, as well as possibly Sunday’s match against Fiorentina. Despite the fears of him also skipping AC Milan’s clash with Fiorentina, exams eventually ruled out a serious thigh injury.

The Brazil international will now spend the next few days receiving treatment, which shall see him out of Thursday’s trip to Torino. However, he should recover by Sunday, when the Rossoneri welcome Vincenzo Montella back to San Siro.

His injury makes way for the likes of injury-returnee Giacomo Bonaventura and the so far unused new arrival, Rade Krunic. Paqueta has played four times for the Diavolo this season, starting just twice without posting any goals or assists.
