Carlo Ancelotti says Allan is set to stay at Napoli

Napoli manager Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that midfielder Allan will not complete a move to PSG after the Brazilian missed Napoli’s game against AC Milan.

Allan was axed from the squad in Napoli’s 0-0 draw against AC Milan amid speculations surrounding his future, with Ligue 1 leaders PSG reportedly finalising a transfer of €100 million.

However, Ancelotti has reiterated his decision by making it clear that Allan will be in the squad to face Milan in the quarterfinals of the Copa Italia on Tuesday.

“As far as I am concerned, the matter is over, Allan will remain our player and we never intended to sell if not for something extraordinary,” head coach Ancelotti told Sky Sports Italia.

“The player has been contacted, even though that shouldn’t happen, and we listened to his requests, after which nothing happened.

“He will stay with us and play on Tuesday.”

Napoli currently sit 2nd in the Serie A, 8 points adrift of leaders Juventus and they will return to Serie A action on the 2nd of February against Sampdoria.
