Real Madrid Fullback Admits To Having A ‘S*** Season’

Real Madrid found themselves outdone by a very young Ajax side by 4 goals to 1 last night and Dani Carvajal believes this has ended their 2018/19 season.

The reigning European champions got absolutely humiliated on their own home turf by the Eredivisie outfit. After a 2-0 away victory in the opening leg, Madrid was expected to easily go through to the next round of the Champions League but instead got thrashed by a 5-3 aggregate score.

This came as a second home loss within a week, their last being the 0-1 against Barcelona to effectively drop out of the La Liga title race.

Speaking to the press after the Tuesday game, Galactico right-back, Carvajal said, “I’ve never felt as sick as this, I don’t know how to explain it.

“In one week everything has gone, and all of it after matches at home. Tonight we can’t look for excuses, they were better and they deserved to go through.”

“We have a young team that can improve. It is clear the season is over but we will continue working in the league because that’s what we have to do and we have to be professional.”

“In one week we’ve lost everything at home, we can’t look for excuses today, the rival has been better. End of an era? I don’t see it this way, we have a young team with a good track record, it’s clear that the season is over for us. Now we have to give face and admit that we’ve had a s*** season.”
