Barcelona sporting director Eric Abidal has revealed the strategies the club might adopt related to transfers in January.

Some players have been rumoured to leave and Abidal feels the footballers who are struggling to get regular time, might ask for a transfer and then things could unravel. “It depends on the players and some of them need to play more minutes,” Abidal told reporters at Murillo’s presentation. “We will talk with them and we will take decisions. We analyse the internal situation and we will continue to see how the market is but we have nothing planned. We will keep an eye on the market to look what offers are there, and what needs we need to cover.”

Barcelona have been linked with the signing of PSG wantaway Adrien Rabiot,  and then a possible return of Neymar in the summer. Players like Dembele and Coutinho could be used as makeshift to weigh in for the Neymar transfer, according to reports. Dembele’s time at the club has been nothing short of a drama. On the pitch, the player has produced some magic moments but off it, he has been all in the negative with multiple reports of him missing training on a number of occasions.
