The Gunners are believed to be interested in Isco, according to reports

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is a long-term admirer and would love to sign the Spain international, according to Fichajes.

Isco, 23, has struggled to cement a place in Real’s starting line-up amongst the array of attacking players including James Rodriguez, Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Despite the interest from Arsenal, the former Malaga player thinks his chances of making the national team ahead of Euro 2016 will be higher if he stays at Madrid.

Real Madrid manager Rafael Benitez has recently lost Bale and Rodriguez to injury and may decide to give Isco a run-out in the starting XI.

Benitez’s side are currently 3rd in La Liga, two points behind leaders Villarreal after a goalless draw with Malaga last weekend.

Lavezzi to Arsenal

Paris Saint-Germain’s Ezequiel Lavezzi could be heading to the Emirates in the January transfer window.

Wenger is believed to have admired Lavezzi for a number of years but failed on previous occasions to sign the former Napoli striker.

The Argentina international has fallen out of favour at the Ligue 1 club since the arrival of Angel Di Maria from Manchester United and Arsenal could be planning to swoop for the 30-year-old.

Liverpool have also been linked with a move for the South American forward as a replacement for Raheem Sterling who left for Manchester City.
