Chelsea are close to completing the signing of New York Red Bulls defender Matt Miazga, according to reports.
Miazga, 20 is nearing a £3.5m move to Stamford Bridge. His contract with NYRB is due to run out at the end of the 2016 MLS season.
The United States international is keen to try his luck overseas.
Other Premier League clubs, including Leicester City and Stoke City were also thought to be keen on Miazga.
But according to ESPN, he is set to be heading to West London.
As the transfer window closes, the Blues are making a raft of changes. Ramires has been sold to Chinese Super League side Jiangsu Suning.
Christian Atsu has been loaned out to Malaga in Spain.
Miazga is set to replace Gary Cahill in Chelsea, the England defender wishes to leave to boost his chances of making the England squad for Euro 2016.
