Brazilian playmaker could be on way out of Anfield as deal for Klopp moves closer

Phillipe Coutinho is reportedly ‘happy to sign’ for Barcelona, according to reports in Spain.

A potential deal could be aided by Coutinho’s good relationship with players and representatives inside the club, with Neymar hailing the playmaker’s skills last week.

But Coutinho maintained: “I am totally focussed on Liverpool. I heard what Neymar said but I want to do well with Liverpool.

“I am happy here and I hope this season will go well for us.

“Of course it is a nice thing that he said. Everyone knows he’s my friend but I am here and focused on Liverpool to help them do good things on the pitch, starting with beating Everton.”

It’s thought that deal would be worth around ÂŁ22million should it happen.

Meanwhile, negotiations with Jurgen Klopp seem to be going well for Liverpool as they look for a new manager.

Owners Fenway Sports Group sacked Brendan Rodgers on Sunday but talks with Klopp have been positive and the German should be in place before their next game against Spurs on October 17.
