Real Madrid star Gareth Bale hasn’t ruled out a Premier League return. Bale took the baby steps of his footballing career in England and this was where he became a prominent name. The Welshman spent seven years in Southampton’s youth setup before joining the senior team in 2006. After a season with Southampton, he joined Tottenham Hotspur in 2007.

In 6 years with Spurs, Bale played 203 matches, scoring 56 goals and providing 58 assists. His performances for Tottenham attracted the attention of Real Madrid and the Spanish giants bought him for a then world-record fee of ÂŁ85 million in 2013.

Bale’s performances with Real Madrid have been outstanding. So far, he has played 194 matches across all competitions, scoring 91 goals and providing 61 assists. Gareth Bale has started this season really well. In four La Liga matches, he has scored three goals so far.

There have been several transfer rumors about Bale for some time now. Manchester United is the club to whom he has been linked very frequently. Some reports also suggest that Chelsea are eager for a swap of Bale and Eden Hazard.

Bale has admitted that he is happy at Madrid but hasn’t ruled out a possible Premier League return. When asked about a Premier League return, Bale said, “You can say yes and no. You always want to come back and play in your home league and a part of you will always miss home. But I’m enjoying playing for the biggest club in the world and winning trophies.”
