The midfielder commits his future to the La Liga club
Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez has signed a new contract with the club, keeping him at the Vicente Calderon until at least 2021.
The 21-year old has had an excellent season, the highlight scoring a sublime solo goal in the 1-0 Champions League semi-final first leg win at home to Bayern Munich.
That strike helped Diego Simeone’s men progress into the Champions League final on May 28, where they will face city rivals Real Madrid at the San Siro, Milan, Italy.
Such form hasn’t gone unnoticed by Spain head coach Vicente del Bosque, who has selected Niguez in his 25-man provisional squad for this summer’s European Championships in France.
