The midfielder has scored two goals so far this season.

As a result of his great games, a new deal is now in line.

Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde is understood to have agreed a new five-year contract at the club as a reward for his immense form this season.  After a slow start to the campaign, the 21-year-old has played his way into Zinedine Zidane’s starting lineup, and he has enjoyed a fantastic few months in the team.

He recently netted his first two goals for the club and looks to be one of the first names on the team sheet. The 21-year-old has made 13 appearances in all competitions this season, which has seemingly led to Los Blancos making an attempt to secure his long-term future.

Marca claim that Valverde has penned a new deal at the club until 2025, which contains a release clause standing at a whopping €750 million, which is even higher than Lionel Messi’s. They do not even want to humour offers from any other sides, and that release clause will certainly scare everyone off. The renewal is said to have taken just a few meetings, with Valverde’s humility and loyalty thought to have impressed Real even more.

Also, according to a story in AS, things could have been very different for the Uruguayan. They report states that Penarol vice President has claimed there was lots of interest in the player before he moved to Madrid. He goes on to say that Barcelona were heavily interested, but they declined to meet their asking price for him.

The likes of Casemiro and Toni Kroos have also renewed their contracts with Los Blancos recently while Luka Modric’s future is still uncertain, as his contract is set to expire in the summer of 2020.
