Former Milan sporting director Zvonimir Boban has reportedly been very close to signing his compatriot Luka Modric.
Marca claims that Luka Modric could very easily leave Real Madrid and move to Milan if Boban remained sporting director.
Spanish media reported that Boban and Modric were close to reaching an agreement on co-operation next season, but negotiations were called off when the former Croatian international left the San Siro under controversial circumstances.
Recall, Boban publicly criticized the work of the chairman of the board of Milan Ivan Gazidis, and that led to his sacking in early March.
When it comes to Modric, it is again speculated that he has the opportunity to leave Real, and his contract with Los Blancos is valid for another year. After the “Rossoneri” dropped out, Modric is mostly connected with MLS and Beckham’s Inter Miami team.
