The youngster is hurt and was not in the squad who faced Levante.

Real Madrid’s injury situation has worsened with the news that Fede Valverde will be sidelined for some time.

Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde is the latest player to suffer an injury. The Uruguayan has suffered a minor injury during the international break and, given the Paris Saint-Germain game on Wednesday, he will not be risked. Valverde played 105 minutes in Uruguay‘s games against Costa Rica and the United States over the last two weeks.

“After the tests carried out today by the Real Madrid Medical Services, our player Federico Valverde has been diagnosed with a muscular injury in the rectus femoris of the left leg. Pending evolution”, said a statement on the Real Madrid official website.

The player joins a long list of injuries for Madrid this season, as only three midfielders were named in the squad who beat Levante 3-2 at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday.

As reported by MARCA, Valverde could be out for a round a month although the specific length of time has not been officially confirmed.

Luka Modric is also out for between two and three weeks. Eden Hazard has recovered and is back in the squad, along with James Rodriguez.
