Zidane explains his post-match reaction after Real Madrid’s 2-1 win over Granada.

Real Madrid registered their ninth consecutive victory in La Liga on Tuesday and this victory puts them one win away from being crowned champions of La Liga.

The Real boss let out a sigh of relief when the final whistle was blown.

Zidane said he is really proud of his team but insisted them not to lose focus as the title hasn’t been won yet.

Zidane opened up over his reaction in his post-match press conference.

“I shouted because I was happy and because you suffer in football.

“It was normal to shout because they were three very important points.

“I shouted to tell my players that they’d have an impressive game. I’m happy for them.”

“The second half wasn’t as good but that’s because our opponents played.

“To get somewhere in LaLiga, you have to suffer a bit and we came through it was a team.

“We have to be proud of the team.

“When we started the season, we wanted to win LaLiga, but it hasn’t arrived just yet.”

Real Madrid will win their 34th La Liga title if they beat Villarreal on July 17th.
