Lionel Messi has finally responded to Cristiano Ronaldo’s challenge.

The goal-scoring machine from Juventus had challenged the magic man of Barcelona to leave his home club and try to master football in different countries like CR7 has done. Ronaldo has won trophies in Portugal, England, Spain and is now on course to win more in Italy. However, Messi has been in Barcelona all his football life, where he has won more trophies than any current player on a club level, besides his individual accolades.

The question mark has however, always stayed that would Messi have been so successful in a different team or a different league?

In what was as humble as ever, Messi has stated he has no desire to play football elsewhere no matter what people may say. “I don’t need any change. I’m at the best team in the world. My challenges are renewed year after year. I do not need to change teams or leagues to set new goals. I am at home and I do not need to change.”

Messi however, did concede that the rivalry between the iconic duo of CR7 and him has been positive. “The rivalry with Cristiano was very healthy and good for the fans.”

For football fans, we must soak in the most of the CR7-LM10 rivalry as long as it lasts.
