Cristiano Ronaldo has said that he was getting anxious after moving to Juventus from Real Madrid. The Portuguese joined the Serie A giants shortly after the World Cup. Yesterday, he netted a brace against Sassuolo in an eventual 2-1 win for Juve. These were Ronaldo’s first goals at the club.

Ronaldo expressed his relief on opening his goal account in Italy. He said, “I’m very happy, I thank my team-mates for helping me to adapt to the league. There was a bit of anxiety after my move from Real. The lack of goals? This is football, but winning is most important.

Juventus play their Champions League opener against Valencia on Wednesday. Ahead of the match, the Portugal captain said, “I feel it is my home, I cannot wait.” Juventus’ group also consists of  Young Boys and Ronaldo’s old club Manchester United.

Wednesday’s match at Valencia will be the first encounter between Juventus and Valencia. Valencia have endured a bizarre start to their La Liga campaign as they are yet to win a match.
