6. Luis Figo
Luis Figo is currently the most capped Portuguese player with 127 caps for the Portuguese national team. Figo was renowned for his great creativity and ability to get past defenders easily during his football career. The former Barcelona and Real Madrid player was one of the best players during his time and won so much at club level, but never got a chance to win a major international trophy with the Portuguese national team, he would have won the Euro in 2004 but only managed to claim silver that year.
Luis Figo won the FIFA Ballon D’or in 2000 showing how great of a player this Portuguese maestro was.
