Zidane demands more respect for this players after latest win against Athletic Club.

Real Madrid marked their seventh consecutive win since the football restarted after defeating Athletic Club at their own turf.

The Los Blancos are having a sensational run this season and are hoping to continue their form for the remainder of the games.

Marcelo was tripped by Dani Garcia which led to a penalty and Sergio Ramos ended up converting it for Real Madrid.

Athletic were denied a penalty kick when Ramos appeared to stomp on their forward Raul Garcia.

“It’s easy to…talk about controversies but that’s not the case, we are doing phenomenally well.

We are giving everything on the pitch and we deserve everything we are achieving,” Zidane said to a virtual press conference.

“I don’t like to get involved in these discussions but what I cannot accept is hearing that we are top of the table because of referees’ decisions.

“We deserve more respect for what we are doing and I’m tired of people saying we are winning because of referees.”

Real Madrid are scheduled to play the last four games of the season.

They are four points ahead of Barcelona in the table and will maintain or extend the gap for the rest of the games.

But Zidane is not getting ahead of himself, adding: “Until it is mathematically won, we cannot relax and think about the title.

“We have shown our strength and our solidity, but I am not going to talk about it, even if you ask me every day, because I already have a lot of experience in my career, also as a player, and all the games are difficult.

“What I can say is that winning seven games out of seven is impressive.”
