Toffees boss Roberto Martinez has squashed rumours that Seamus Coleman will move to Old Trafford for £25million pound in January.

It has been reported that Manchester United want to buy the services of the defender and bring him to Old Trafford.

Manchester United who have been linked with a number of players over the last few months have been told they have a £160million pound purse in order to get them back into the Champions League with defenders seeming to be high priority due to a growing injury list.

Speaking at a press conference Martinez was asked about the potential move of Coleman in January or at the end of the campaign and he had this to say;

“For me it’s nothing to comment, I haven’t seen that and I’ve got no recollection of that,”

“As you can imagine what we want at the footballclub is to build something that will make us stronger and the last thing we want is to lose important players.”

Coleman has been attracting a lot of attention from a vast amount of European clubs recently due to his impressive form.

Since joining Everton in 2009 the right-back has racked up 17 goals in 159 appearances.
