Everton Supporters will have to wait for a minimum of three weeks to catch a glimpse of Yerry Mina and Andre Gomes, Marco Silva has confirmed. The Everton gaffer had been hoping to get some positive news but now both the players are expected to be back in training after the international break.

Everton made a flurry of signings on the deadline day as they signed Barcelona duo Gomes and Mina to send a strong message to the other teams. Mina has been struggling with a foot injury which occurred during Columbia’s World Cup encounter with England.

Gomes hurt his hamstring during Barcelona’s pre-season tour and the midfielder is now facing a race against time to be completely fit before the Toffees’ game against West Ham United on 16th September at the Goodison Park.

On being asked about Mina’s availability the gaffer answered, “He is recovering from an old injury, not something that happened here, but not something special.

“The report I had from our medical staff it is not serious, but you have to take more days to put him in that level.”

He further added, “It looks maybe after the international break they can start working with us.”
